At the roadside you will be expected to attend broken-down cars and light commercial vehicles to diagnose faults and carry out repairs that are feasible such as batteries, wheel changes, jump starts. Applicants must be able to demonstrate good skills across a wide range of vehicles, ideally you will have formal qualifications in light vehicles such as City and Guilds or NVQ. No experience of the breakdown/recovery industry is required as full training will be given.
This position involves working as part of a team receiving jobs from our control room and reacting quickly to ensure your arrival on jobs is timely. Essential to this role are good communication and people skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Applicants MUST hold a driving licence with the ability to tow, ideally you will hold a 7.5 tonne licence (category C1, C1E), but we will consider holders of licences with categories B and BE. You must be able to clear security vetting via a DBS check in order to work on our contracts.
You will be required to work on a shift system including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of our on call service team, so flexibility is required.
